Billy Joel was pretty upset when he started to go bald. The artist told Howard Stern that he felt like losing his hair would impact his rock star image. The ‘Piano Man’ indeed did go from having an impressive head of bushy black hair to being completely bald when he was in his 50s. However, he insists on embracing the bald look and says that he has seen “too many bad rugs” to ever consider wearing a toupee.
