Lily Collins has unveiled a striking new look after her character in Emily In Paris debuted bangs in the show’s latest season. The actress recently cut her hair into a chic French bob for the summer and has been sporting the trendy style since June. Now, with a new role on the horizon, Collins has revealed a fresh hair color.
In an Instagram post promoting the West End preview of Bess Wohl’s Barcelona, a play in which she stars alongside Álvaro Morte, the renowned actress showed off her transformation. Posing for the camera, the 35-year-old displayed cascading blonde hair styled in loose curls and parted to the side.
While fans were excited about the change, it turned out to be a wig transformation for her character, rather than a permanent shift. Collins has a history of experimenting with blonde hair; in 2017, she tricked fans with a convincing wig selfie, only to reveal her natural brunette locks shortly after.
Barcelona, directed by Lynette Linton, is set in 2009 and tells the story of an American tourist, played by Collins, who embarks on a night out with a handsome Spaniard, portrayed by Morte. What starts as a fun one-night stand evolves into a complex interplay of personal desires and political realities. The play examines the contrast between the personas we present and the truths we hide.
