In a viral video that has garnered over 1.7 million views and more than 146,000 likes, user Jubilee Dawn (@jubileedawns) has voiced her dissatisfaction with Blake Lively’s new haircare line.
The video, titled “Blake Brown Review (Spoiler… it’s awful),” begins with Jubilee noting that she purchased the products before Lively faced recent criticism for promoting the drama/romance film “It Ends with Us.” “I got it the day before everything broke, so this doesn’t even have to do with the drama,” she clarified in the clip.
Jubilee’s critique of Lively’s haircare line is scathing. She described the products as “some of the worst” she has ever used on her hair. According to her, the shampoo, mousse, and mask left her curly hair feeling dry and unhealthy. “My hair has never felt so unhealthy in my entire life,” she stated.
The haircare line, which took seven years to develop, is sold exclusively on Lively’s website and at Target. It includes a range of products such as dry shampoo, two types of shampoo, and a hair mask. However, Jubilee also criticized the product packaging, describing it as inconvenient. She noted that the shampoo bottle’s top twists off completely, making it difficult to use, and the other packaging is hard to open.
Viewers in the comments section echoed Jubilee’s frustration. Many questioned why Lively’s hair and beauty line was even considered desirable. “Respectfully….but who looked at Blake’s hair and ever thought ‘I need to know what products she uses’?” user Roxy wrote. Another user commented, “This is what Blake Lively’s hair usually looks like ngl.”
Others poked fun at the controversy surrounding the haircare line. “Split Ends With Us,” one user quipped. Some even suggested that many customers are returning the products. “The cool teenager at Target said everyone is returning it,” user Johnny Walker commented.
