In a newly released video, Guardiola is seen greeting players as they arrive for training. When he notices De Bruyne’s striking haircut, he takes the opportunity to playfully tease the Belgian midfielder.
Guardiola, who noted De Bruyne’s bold new look, could not resist joking about it. It appears that De Bruyne’s new style might have been inspired by striker Erling Haaland. Observing De Bruyne’s slicked-back style with a top knot, Guardiola smiles and comments, “You need to explain this hairstyle to me!”
Looking ahead, there are uncertainties regarding De Bruyne’s future with Manchester City. The Belgian international may leave the club before the summer transfer window closes.
