In an engaging interview on “Good Morning Britain,” the legendary singer shared insights into her current endeavors, including her work on fresh music projects and an upcoming memoir.

At 77 years young, Cher unveiled her determination to defy conventional expectations by vowing never to relinquish her denim attire or part with her luscious locks, even as she approaches her 80s. Her rationale? She intends to stay abreast of the ever-evolving fashion landscape.

“I can hardly fathom the day I turn 80, which will come sooner than I’d prefer,” confessed Cher. “But let it be known, I shall continue to grace the world in my jeans, flaunting my cascading hair, and pursuing the passions that have defined my life.”

Cher, renowned for her iconic presence across decades, wowed audiences when she graced the runway for Balmain in September 2022, dazzling in a shimmering silver bodysuit.

Reflecting on societal norms from years past, Cher reminisced, “I recall conversations with my dear friend Paulette, pondering when we’d succumb to the tradition of cutting our hair and retiring our jeans, as that’s what women did in those days. Yet, that moment has not yet arrived.”

The “Believe” crooner, inheriting robust genes from her mother, Georgia Holt, who lived to the age of 96, attributed her perpetual youthfulness to her lineage. However, she pondered the correlation between one’s sense of age and their true vitality, remarking, “Staying young at heart isn’t a direct path to reversing the years. Instead, I remain connected to the trends and keep a vibrant circle of friends, both young and old.”

Cher, despite her ageless appearance, emphasized that her objective isn’t to chase eternal youth. “I simply embrace my authentic self,” she affirmed. “I navigate life as it unfolds.”

Cher had previously divulged some of her tips for sustaining her youthful allure in her health and wellness book, “Forever Fit,” co-authored with Robert Haas in the early ’90s. In the tome, she disclosed, “I’ve bid farewell to smoking and steer clear of drugs. Coffee rarely graces my lips, and alcohol and red meat scarcely make an appearance. It’s all part of staying ahead of the game.” Cher’s dietary choices include avoiding high-fat foods that sap her energy and contribute to excess weight. She opted for nonfat milk as a healthier alternative to whole milk.
